This workshop will take us to the 17th century, favorite for theater, film, and more generally when we speak of "swashbuckling" and the rapier, the weapon that has caused most of the ink (and blood).
We will approach fight techniques of rapier and dagger, but also basic principles of stunts (falls, bare hands fighting, improvised weapons). For this purpose a dojo with tatami is to our disposition, in addition to the usual fencing hall.

In 12 hours we will work on:
> The difference between historical rapier (Capo Ferro / Cavalcabo) and theater rapier (Dubois and Lacaze).
> Safety rules for work on stage without protection
> “Prise de fer” and control of the thrust.
> Exercises of dissociation of both hands for rapier and dagger.
> Unarmed combat (punch, slap, kick, choke ...)
> Falling (front, rear, falls with weapons)
> Work on text (the hunchback, commedia dell'arte, the three musketeers ...)
> Introduction to fight design and the staging
> Individual lesson with the rapier and initiation to duelism

A part of the weapons is provided. If you have a rapier and a dagger, you are asked to bring them with. The course requires athletic shoes, a training and a t-shirt. Leather gloves are mandatory!
